Mobile broadband

Get online at home or on the move with Vodafone’s Mobile Broadband solutions. There are different options to choose from, including unlimited data-only SIMs to its 5G-powered Gigacube router, offering 30-day plans and 18-month contracts.

GigaCube

GigaCube offers 5G and 4G speeds using Vodafone's mobile network, which reaches 99% of people in the UK. It works wherever there’s 5G or 4G signal - just have to plug in and you can connect up to 64 devices. Flexible plans allow you to choose an 18-month or a 30-day rolling contract.

Data dongle

A data dongle lets you connect your computer, laptop or tablet to the internet through Vodafone’s mobile network, so you can get online even on the move. Its award-winning 4G network covers 99% of the UK, so you’ll be sure of a signal, and the dongle doubles up as a USB storage device.

Data-only SIM

Enjoy 5G and 4G speeds on the go, with plenty of roam-free destinations and unlimited data options for those that don’t want to be held back.

Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub router

If you sign up for Superfast 1 or 2 you will get the same Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub router free of charge. This allows you to control your Wi-Fi using your smartphone or tablet with the Vodafone Broadband app.

The router’s key features include:

  • Boost: This gives priority to one device for a couple of hours which means you will have no problem downloading a big file onto your tablet or laptop, or streaming an HD or 4K movie onto the TV.

  • Guest network: This allows visitors to use the internet without giving them full network access.

  • Family Time: This allows you to disconnect selected devices at ‘bedtime’.

What is the Ultimate Broadband Guarantee?

Unique to Vodafone, the guarantee promises a service and speed pledge for all Superfast 1 and Superfast 2 customers. Any customers whose broadband speed drops below the minimum of 25Mbps for Superfast 1 and 55Mbps for Superfast 2 are entitled to a discount of 15% on their bill until the fault preventing them achieving those speeds is fixed. It is up to the customer to claim the discount as Vodafone won’t apply it automatically.

Vodafone Broadband app

The Vodafone Broadband app lets you manage your router from your smartphone or tablet. You can download the app from the Apple App store or Google Play Store.

The app will let you do the following:

  • Manage your broadband settings

  • Set up Family Time

  • Control your Boost feature

  • Manage your guest Wi-Fi

  • Change Wi-Fi channel

  • Schedule when you can turn off your Wi-Fi

  • Turn off your router’s LED light.

Parental controls are also available to all Vodafone Broadband and Home Phone customers.

What is Vodafone TV?

Vodafone's pay-TV isn't as extensive as the likes of Sky, BT or Virgin Media and doesn't offer quite the same breadth of content. However, it still offers a host of channels and premium add-ons like Sky Sports, Sky Cinema and BT Sport all in one place. It comes as part of two broadband and TV bundles, both of which run over a 24-month contract and include a free Apple 4K set top box.

Vodafone Home Line

Vodafone’s home phone service is only available as part of its broadband deals. You can tailor your deal with a number of packages to suit your landline usage, including things like voicemail plus, call management features and caller display.

Switching to Vodafone

Vodafone promises a stress-free switch in a few easy steps. First choose one of its broadband packages, choose an activation date online, or an installation date if your address doesn’t have an Openreach line yet. Vodafone will then handle everything from your old provider (unless you are a Virgin Media customer, in which case you will need to cancel with them directly) and even book an engineer if you need one.

Vodafone broadband set-up

All you need to do is connect the Wi-Fi hub to your phone socket. If you have a single socket then you can use the microfilter that comes with the Hub. However, if you have a dual socket, all you have to do is plug the DSL cable directly into the socket and plug the other end into your router and connect the router to a power supply.

Gigabit installation

Vodafone will deliver your router two days prior to your chosen installation day. Your engineer will confirm their arrival and on the day, the engineer will let you know what they need to do to install your new line.

Vodafone customer service

You can speak to an advisor by phone on 0333 3040 191, or dial 191 for free from any Vodafone SIM. It also offers a Vodafone broadband live chat which is available 24/7 and can be found at  https://support.vodafone.co.uk/.
